Frequently asked questions
Why does my image not show up in the preview?
The tool loads the exact URL you entered directly in your browser. If it is blank, the image is missing, the URL is wrong, or the host blocks hotlinking/CORS for direct access — check that the URL opens correctly in a new tab.
Do I need both Open Graph and Twitter Card tags?
Yes for full coverage. Facebook, LinkedIn, and most other platforms read Open Graph (og:) tags, while Twitter/X primarily reads its own twitter: tags — this tool outputs both so every platform renders correctly.
Why is my Google description cut off with an ellipsis?
Google typically truncates snippets to roughly 155-160 characters and may rewrite them entirely based on the query — the preview shows the realistic truncation point so you can front-load the important information.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript — nothing you type is transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere. You can even use it offline once the page has loaded.
